Divine Comedy On the manga volume 4, at the entrance of Myōjinsan. there is a warning sign below one of the door faces, which contains a phrase calling visitors to abandon all hope, This is a reference to the Divine Comedy a long narrative poem by Dante Alighieri completed in 1320 there, you can find a similar warning near the doors of hell.

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" On manga volume 4, on the title page of Report 40, behind Mikami is the text "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy", a famous phrase used on several media, including The Shining, a horror novel written by Stephen King, published in 1977.

Street Fighter On volume 6, Pete is training on a waterfall while using karate clothes and performs a "Vampire Shōryūken", resembling the Street Fighter characters Ryu and Ken.

Ace o Nerae! On volume 6 Mikami has to get rid of the ghost of a female tennis player who comes to be "Reika Ryūzaki" a character from the 1980 manga Ace o Nerae!, also known as Aim for the Ace!, by Sumika Yamamoto.

Street Fighter On volume 7, one of the Ghost Sweepers fighting Doctor Chaos resembles Dhalsim from the Street Fighter series, using his Yoga Fire attack.

Doraemon On volume 7, during the visit of Tenryu Doji to Japan, he reclutes Yokoshima as his subordinate, and request to be taken out to have fun, Tenryu is seen on a Doraemon themed machine.

I Robot On volume 8, Doctor Chaos states that both Maria and Teresa must follow "The Three Rules of Robotics" this is a reference to the 1950 collection "I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes On volume 9 Reiko Mikami creates a magical plantation of tomatoes to help father Karasu, but the tomatoes talk and become violent, this is a reference to Attack of the Killer Tomatoes a 1978 horror comedy film produced by J. Stephen (Steve) Peace

The Omen On volume 21, "Damien" a demon servant of Astharoth is seen, this is a reference to the main character of "The Omen"  a 1976 horror film directed by Richard Donner

Lord of the Flies On volume 21, "Beelzebuub" a demon servant of Astharoth is seen, this is a reference to Lord of the Flies a 1954 novel by British William Golding.

***Must be said the it reffers to the book rather than the christian demonic figure considering the fly form and familiars that the manga character uses.

Alien On volume 25, the rebirth of Medusa from Yokoshima's Stomach, is a reference to the Alien a 1979 science-fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott.

Detective Conan On volume 27, Conan Edogawa from Detective Conan appears in a TV.
Back to the Future 2 On volume 28, during the time travel of "future Yokoshima" to visit his present self, in order to finance his stay he bets money on horse races using a newspaper the day after the bets on which the results of the races appeared; this is a reference to the movie Back to the Future Part 2 in which the antagonist Biff Tannen bets on horse races in the past to become a millionaire.

The Song of the Nibelungs On volume 30, Sigfriend and Shōryūki sacrifices themselves to save Mikami from the assault of Ashtaroth, and give them some sacred relics to enhance her powers, one of them is The Ring of the Nibelung. This is a reference to a epic music drama composed by Richard Wagner (which is a based on The Song of the Nibelungs, is an epic poem in Middle High German)

Various series On volume 37, young Michie Mikami states that she wanted to become a Ghost Sweeper to be like a fiction hero, and she is seen dressed similarly to different heroes, including Joe the Condor from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, the titular character from Kamen Rider, and Koji Kabuto mounting the titular mecha from Mazinger Z.

Urusei Yatsura On volume 37, during a scene of Michie Mikami, pursuing a possesed Kimihiko, Rumiko Takahashi makes a cameo, she was needing inspiration for her new manga and she got it, she saw Michie run after the man through the streets hysterically and wearing only a bra, which gave her the perfect image for "Lum" a main character in the "Urusei Yatsura" series.

Speed On volume 38, Yokoshima's bike is cursed by an abused kid in seek of vengeance, if the spped drops to a limitspikes will come out of the sit, this is a reference to "Speed" a 1994 American action thriller film directed by Jan de Bont.
